Bukky Babalola (B.Sc. BOTANY, PGD Mass Communication, MA Communication) is a media enthusiast. She has worked as a news anchor at TVC News International, a subsidiary of Continental Broadcasting Service, where she was responsible for the daily news broadcast and public service announcements. She also conducted interviews with acclaimed personalities — the most notable being a live discussion with the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola. Bukky’s acting skills have been well commended. On the rave making NTA Network soap opera- HILLS AND VALLEYS, she played the lead role of JOKOTADE (a saucy, no nonsense business tycoon). She anchored St. Lauren Nollywood Buzz, featuring Nollywood updates and exclusive interviews with A list Nollywood celebrities which aired on 7 radio stations across Nigeria. Bukky has worked as a Communications Intern at the Port of Corpus Christi Authority in Texas where she spearheaded the "Port Interns Project on Facebook" which raised the level of engagement of the port with members of its community by a significant level. In 2017, Bukky served as an International Service Advisor at the Office of International Education in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). Here, she was actively involved in the recruitment and retention of international students as well as other administrative tasks. In 2017, Bukky was inducted to the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key International Honor Societies. In May 2018, she earned a master's degree in communication from TAMU-CC after graduating with a perfect GPA of 4.0. She was also awarded TAMU-CC's Outstanding International Student in 2018. In the summer of 2018, Bukky nabbed a highly competitive internship with the CNN Digital programming team. Simultaneously, she served on the inaugural board of the Turner Intern Leadership Council.
