○ Reading and understanding the scripts to identify all the areas that require additional care when recording dialogue.
○ Recording equipment close enough to the target to hear it clearly without blocking the shot.
○ Assisting the sound mixer in properly positioning the microphones.
○ Must be physically fit to hold the boom mic for long hours.
○ Lifting and moving some equipment.
