1. Collaborate with the director and production manager to choose what type of microphones to use and select additional audio gear. 
2. Ensuring that dialogue recorded during filming is suitably clear.
3. Setting up wires, affixing lapel mics, and operating the sole boom mic while mixing on a mobile controller. 
4.  Responsible for leading the team through any technical errors and sound problems that may arise.
